The Origin and Direction of Drill 💡
Family, the time has come to break the existing paradigm around Drill, many people think that Drill is the voice of crime, Drill is not the voice of crime, Drill is a type of Beat mixed with vocals / freedom of expression used to report circumstances and tell stories from the streets in music format, yes there was a lot of talk about crime in the message however it does not necessarily mean that it has to be like that permanently, Drill can and should be the vibe we want, I tell you this because we saw it and we witnessed the growth of Grime which is the origin of Drill in the UK where it was born, Grime was considered the voice of crime because it started by reporting the events of the streets in complicated times identical to Drill and for a long time it suffered oppression for speaking some truths that many sometimes didn't want to be heard until that started to gain popularity the older and wiser ones started reversing the message by eliminating all that prejudice, integrating more awareness and other themes and making Grime one of the most watched musical styles worldwide giving rise to more prosperity not only for the artists but also listeners and the industry and the same goes for Drill, Drill is the evolution of Grime and although it currently has a message considered less positive by some people this is due to the fact that there are circumstances that can and should be improved. It's natural that younger people feel revolted when they go out into the street and witness a lack of opportunities and speak up, it's natural that younger people have a less positive idea of the system when they're coming home from school and are leaning against the wall, it's natural that as a result of this lack of opportunities and need for control due to some lack of civility as a result of these circumstances, boys often lose focus and direction and take the wrong course. But let's be rational what we all want is to be healthy to be respected, loved and have dough in your pocket, and being a Gangster is not stealing or stabbing someone, Gangster is making your dough the smart way without having to step on anyone with honor and integrity and you get home and put food on the table and take care of your family, that's what you want for yourself and your family, talk to your elders and ask what the result is of walking down the street and living alone in trickery, boys are going to tell you the truth, you're going to end up in jail or under the ground and that's not what you want for your life, and be careful, I'm not taking the moral out of those who talk about it in the song because without a principle there wouldn't be a principle a means to an end and what was done was done with attitude and it couldn't have been done better, it was important to have someone to pass the word on otherwise no one would do anything to change that however you have to know how to distinguish between things, one one thing is music and freedom of expression, another thing is going to the street to repeat violence just because you heard it in a song, if we were going to do everything we see and hear there couldn't be television, does that make sense? Music is entertainment, music is art, music is freedom of expression and the objective is to be heard, the objective is to create conditions for us to be able to revert and change these circumstances, the objective is to talk about what is wrong and express a desire to meet solutions and seek to evolve from this path, I want to hear young people talking about what they want in life, more ambition, more dedication, more discipline, love and education for the younger ones because they will be the result of our today and tomorrow, that's why family in fact I tell you, it's time to put the steak aside and focus on what's important, on the family, on the pasta, focus on the possibilities and reach the goals because if you don't want them, no one will do for you what only you can do it for yourself, there are no easy ways, and at the end of the day you have two options, either you take the easy way to have a hard life or the hard way to have an easy life, THE CHOICE IS YOURS !! If you want to see a difference in the world, you don't need to change the world, change yourself and be the example you want to see, in English there is an expression, “first you Learn, then you take the L” you get me familli?
